3-60. Regionally assigned or aligned forces are those forces that provide a combatant commander with scalable, tailorable capabilities to shape OEs. They are those Army units assigned or allocated to combatant commands, or those Army capabilities distributed and prepared by the Army for combatant command regional missions. A corps headquarters prepares, exercises, and ensures readiness of its assigned forces to support security cooperation using the Guidance for Employment of the Force as a planning tool for prioritization of resources and support.
